The Formula For Moving Forward

In partnership with the Livermore School District, we invite you to learn and practice four easy steps we can all take to recover from the impact of Covid-19, help get our community back on its feet and our children get back to learning.

what's the formula?

The Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement™ is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to create safer and more loving communities through groundbreaking next generation social and emotional learning (SEL) programs that are suited for all stages of life.

At the core of the program is a simple formula (COURAGE + GRATITUDE + FORGIVENESS + COMPASSION-IN-ACTION = Choosing Love) that anyone can learn and practice to improve the world around them.

The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District has chosen Choose Love For Schools™ to be their social emotional learning curriculum.

How Can It Help Our Kids & community?

The Choose Love Formula™ offers an easy way for the Livermore community to reinforce the essential SEL concepts being taught to our kids at school that will help them achieve personal and academic success.

By learning and modelling the Formula values of COURAGE, GRATITUDE, FORGIVENESS and COMPASSION-IN-ACTION in our homes, local businesses and organizations, we will not only help our children practice them in their daily lives outside of school but also experience their scientifically proven, exponential benefits in our own lives and throughout our community.

why now?

During the last school year and through the summer, all of our students will have been exposed to some level of trauma, disruptions in learning, physical isolation, and disengagement from school and peers, which has negatively affected their mental health.

When students come to school in a state of trauma or despair, they are unable to learn, which is why the U.S. Department of Education has recommended that supporting students' social, emotional and mental wellbeing should be a priority in back-to-school and learning recovery planning.

This is where we, as a community, can help, and our mission at Choose Love Livermore is to provide you the resources and education to do so.

A Simple 4-Part Formula

When learned and practiced daily, these character values transform you, your relationships with others, and create a ripple effect of happiness, health and productivity throughout your school, home and community.

And the best news is that, once you’ve learned them, you will have them in your tool belt for the rest of your life.
