Dan Anderson is a Darien CT native and friend of Scarlett Lewis since attending Darien High School. Dan now lives in Darien with his wife Jen and 3 children. He is the manager of the Darien Merrill Lynch office where he is a Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor. He has been at Merrill Lynch since 1992 after graduating Roger William University. Dan has been a volunteer firefighter since 1986 at the Darien Fire Department. He has held the position of Lieutenant for 3 years, President for 14 years and currently is Chairman and still an active firefighter. Dan helped found the Town of Darien Firefighters Foundation. This is a civilian run organization that raises private money for the three Darien 100% volunteer fire departments. He has served on the board of the Community Fund of Darien (formally the Darien United Way) for 10 years. He is currently the Vice President. He is chairman of the Business Community fund and helped start the Youth Community Fund – geared at teaching high school students about philanthropy. Dan served on the board of the Darien Chamber of Commerce and was active in business networking events and new membership. Dan enjoys spending time with his family, coaching, tennis, paddling, motorcycling and relaxing at Tokeneke Beach.
