Food trucks and vendors will include Weenie Lynn’s, Greeks in Your Town, Three Little Pigs BBQ, the Tie Dying Mamas, and much more! Kids will have a blast seeing the enormous dragon puppet Violet, made possible through the CT Guild of Puppetry and then have fun duck puppet-making with the Sova Theatre Company. There will be a slime station, scavenger hunt, raffles, and more fun for the whole family! It’s one big birthday party to celebrate the fearless angel of the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement – Jesse himself! Join Scarlett Lewis as she raises awareness for the important mission of giving all children access to social and emotional learning through the Choose Love Enrichment Program while also “having a lot of fun.”

About the John Cafferty and Beaver Brown Band:
The legendary “East Coast Rock’n’Roll” group John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band began their career in 1972 and achieved mainstream success in the 1980s with the “Eddie & The Cruisers – Motion Picture Soundtrack”. The hit single “On the Dark Side” held the “Number-One” position on the Billboard Rock charts and the MTV video charts for five consecutive weeks. The album sold over 3 million copies and was certified triple Platinum by the RIAA.
The title track from the group’s 1985 follow-up album Tough All Over became their second “Number-One” single on the Billboard Rock charts and the song C-I-T-Y reached the Billboard Top 20. John Cafferty’s solo track “Hearts on Fire” was featured in the Sylvester Stallone film “Rocky IV” and he received his second double Platinum soundtrack award. Over the years John has placed 35 songs in major motion pictures. Today John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band continue to tour and bring their exciting live shows to fans around the world. In 2012 they were inducted into the Rhode Island Music Hall Of Fame.
Spadtastics:
The Spadtastics supported the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement benefit concert last year at Tilly Pond in Darien, CT. They are not just a Grateful Dead Cover Band, per se. They are more a collection of friends who gather other friends around us. They exist for two reasons. First, to celebrate the memory of friend and brother, David Spadaccini. And second, to honor and play the music he – and all of us – love.
Doug Allen
Doug Allen wrote a song “Choose Love” in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook tragedy. The song’s message to choose love was inspired by the way Scarlett Lewis chose to respond to the devastating loss of her son. Allen also performed at the 2018 benefit concert in Darien, CT.
Nashville recording artist Doug Allen is a singer/songwriter with a rich voice and tunes with strong hooks that are setting him apart on the country music scene. You’ll hear two songs off his current CD in Major Motion Pictures… including a bar scene with Renee Zellweger in the Universal Pictures Film One True Thing. Doug is a seasoned live performer, having opened for acts like Gregg Allman, Edwin McCain, John Entwistle of The Who, Jewel, The Bacon Brothers and many more. Thanks for taking a listen!
Scarlett Lewis started the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement™ after the murder of her son, Jesse, at Sandy Hook. She decided to become part of the solution to the issues our society is facing by creating social and emotional learning (SEL) programs to foster the understanding that with the right tools, we can educate and encourage individuals to choose loving thoughts over angry ones.

Jesse Lewis
