Lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is the Safe Schools Administrator for Burrell School District and is the Assistant Principal of the high school as well. Carla and her husband, Chad, a principal at a neighboring district, have two kids, Taylor and Dominic.
Currently, Carla is enrolled in a doctoral program at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut that focuses on social emotional learning — she should complete her program in 2023!
Fun Facts
- My husband and I got married on Leap Day (2/29/2020), outside, at 9am, in the snow, and it was only 15 degrees outside! The only person that knew we were doing it was my best friend. Then we announced it through Facebook/text messages and invited everyone to join us in boiling syrup for our reception.
- I am a Beekeeper and love the calmness and serenity when working my hives.

I teach first grade and have enjoyed sharing the Choose Love formula with my kiddos. I enjoy learning about SEL and mindfulness and then passing on this knowledge.
My hobbies, in addition to those listed above, are reading, running, bike riding with my husband and hanging out with our Weimaraner, Buddy. I am excited to help others on their Choose Love journey!
